At Luggage Forward we operate two brands: Our flagship brand is the exclusive luggage delivery provider for many of the world’s leading travel brands including Abercrombie & Kent, Exclusive Resorts, and Viking Cruises. Luggage Forward wants travelers to “Ship Luggage, Travel Happy.” Additionally, our LugLess brand is the go-to choice for the budget minded traveler. We ship hundreds of thousands of bags, golf clubs, and skis around the world every year.
The Role
As the Director of Partnerships for the Luggage Forward brand, you will be a key member of the team at a growth-stage, investor backed company at the intersection of travel, technology and logistics. In this role, you will report directly to the Co-CEO and shape the success and direction of the company by establishing and maintaining revenue-driving partnerships, and working with the Co-CEO and other leaders across the company to build and refine partnership and account management processes, systems, and teams. The ideal candidate is a great communicator and relationship builder who has a track record of balancing strategic thinking and execution to drive results in a partnership or B2B sales setting.:
Responsibilities
Identify, nurture, and develop new partnerships with leading hospitality and travel brands
- Work with business leaders to refine prospecting strategy
- Source new quality opportunities, maintaining a strong pipeline
- Nurture new relationships, setting a compelling strategic vision for partnership
Work cross-functionally to continuously improve partner experience, increasing existing partner revenue, retention, and satisfaction
- Effectively onboard new partners
- Execute against the partnership vision, working with leaders across Luggage Forward to ensure seamless marketing and operations
- Proactively communicate partnership performance and new opportunities
- Apply best practices and learnings across partners, standardizing where applicable
Expand Luggage Forward’s partnership capabilities, as the first leadership hire for the partnerships function
- Develop the structure, KPIs and processes to support initiating and maintaining partnerships
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve technology and operations where they affect partners, and work with company leaders across functions to drive change

- Able to balance an entrepreneurial “roll up your sleeves” attitude with setting and articulating a vision and strategy
- Excited about creating and refining the processes, systems, and metrics to support high growth
- A cross-functional leader with strong commercial / business acumen, effective at solving operational challenges and maintaining a feedback loop between operations and partnership teams
- 5+ years of experience leading partnerships and/or sales, preferably in the travel industry
